30 years Fraunhofer IKTS – Hello Future

For 30 years, we at Fraunhofer IKTS have been following a path that has never been straightforward. From institute of the State Academy of Sciences to one of the largest Fraunhofer Institutes, changes have shaped this path time and again. Energy transition, Industry 4.0, digitalization or the responsible use of resources - IKTS has had to reinvent itself time and again, but has never lost its heart as a materials institute. This path cannot be walked alone and so our special thanks go to the employees who have made the IKTS what it is today. Furthermore, we would like to thank our partners from science, industry and politics who have accompanied us so far and will continue to do so.

Big changes will also shape our future, so we look forward to spending the next 30 years as a research partner finding solutions that move our society, our economy and our environment forward. And so it will be for the next few years: We start our journey with ceramics and go far beyond.
