Fraunhofer IKTS will present the latest ceramic materials for dental applications, continuous CAD/CAM process technologies for the manufacture of ceramic dental components and current research results in the field of oxide ceramics. Visitors to IDS can expect to see exhibits at the Fraunhofer IKTS stand showing a new ultrasonic drill head. The development uses piezoelectric ceramics for the rotational movement, thus enabling fast and safe root canal treatments. Other topics at the stand include ceramic injection molding for hybrid implants and the next generation of CNC manufacturing of dental ceramics.
