Lifetime and service life models for high sustainability

Topic

Designing electronics for reliability means optimizing their design based on defined application scenarios for a defined minimum functional period. It is therefore important in the electronics development process to be able to evaluate different designs according to their failure probabilities using service life or lifetime models.

Thanks to its equipment of tensile, compression and shear machines, temperature cycling and climatic chambers, shakers, and in-situ measurement technology, Fraunhofer IKTS is able to derive service life models from the component to the assembly according to customer-specific load scenarios.
